Ultrasound

An Ultrasound machine uses sound waves and produces images of the body's internal structures using a transducer or probe.
We use the latest ultrasound equipment at all our centers. Our high-resolution monitor enables us to obtain clear images and helps in accurate diagnosis.

Clinical Applications:
I. An Obstetrics and Foetal imaging:

Early viability and dating scan (1st 10 weeks) with 3D imaging of yolk sac and embryo.

1st trimester NT scan for intracranial translucency and nuchal translucency.

Level II scan at 18-20 weeks for complete anomaly assessment including foetal heart, brain, limbs, spine, thorax, abdominal organs & soft markers for aneuploidy.

foetal wellbeing and growth scan (20 weeks till term).

Doppler study of MCA, uterine arteries, umbilical artery, ductus venosus and aorta for early diagnosis of IUGR, foetal hypoxia and foetal anaemia in Rh incompatible pregnancy, twin-twin transfusion, uteroplacental insufficiency, etc.

3D and 4D foetal ultrasound for foetal morphology, face visualization, cleft lip/palate, skeletal dysplasia, congenital malformations, spina bifida/meningocele, club feet, dwarfism, foetal movements and gestures, foetal heart 4D, reactivity/tonicity to rule out neuromyopathy, placenta evaluation for any abnormalities like lower segment insertion, etc.

II. Gynaecology & Infertility imaging:

Various uterine, cervical and ovarian pathologies detection, characterization and extent visualization.

3D imaging of uterus for uterine shape anomalies, endometrial polyps, intrauterine adhesions, IUCD localization, submucosal fibroids, adnexal imaging for hydrosalpinx.

TUI Volume imaging gives the exact volume measurement of endometrial hyperplasia, polyps, cysts, fibroids, tumours. Virtual hysteroscopy using the slicing technique.

Follicular monitoring – Automatic SonoAVC follicle and 3D multiplanar ovarian imaging gives enhanced measurement consistency and increased patient comfortability by reducing exam time.

III. Colour Doppler imaging:

Upper and lower limbs arterial Doppler for plaques; stenosis in PVD and embolic detection.

Varicose veins evaluation and perforator detection.

Upper and lower limbs venous Doppler for superficial; deep venous thrombosis.

Carotid and vertebral vessels Doppler for CAD patients, stroke patients with auto IMT measurement; plaque detection.

Renal Doppler for renal artery stenosis, hypertension; post-transplant patients.

Splenoportal axis for cirrhosis, portal hypertension and thrombosis.

Abdominal aorta and iliac vessels for aneurysms/dissection.

IV. Small parts:

Breast elastography for lesion characterization.

Breast- Extended view for better visualization.

Thyroid imaging with HD flow.
