CT Scan

We use state-of-the-art technology to ensure the patient's exposure to X-rays is as low as possible.
We use 16 Slice CT Scanner at all our centers. Use of the latest technology helps us to acquire better image clarity and greater anatomic coverage of the patient.

Clinical Applications:
Trauma:

CT head for contusions, Intracranial hemorrhage, SDH, EDH, etc and follow up.

Whole spine scanning for dislocation and fractures.

Neurotrauma package for CT head and cervical spine.

Chest CT for hemothorax, lung contusions, pneumothorax and rib fractures.

Pelvis CT for bladder injury, hip & pelvic fractures.

Abdomen CT for solid organs injury, vessel injury, hemoperitoneum, etc.

I. Chest:

CECT chest for chest masses, lymph nodes, mediastinal masses, abscess, TB, thymus & its masses, paraspinal masses/abscess, pleural effusion.

HRCT chest for interstitial lung disease (ILD, Smoker's lung, Pneumoconiosis), SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis, Respiratory bronchiolitis.

Pulmonary angiography for A-V malformation, pulmonary thromboembolism, etc.

II. Eye/ENT:

CECT neck for nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal/laryngeal masses, neck spaces infection/abscess, neck nodes evaluation, submandibular/parotid glands mass/swelling/abscess.

HRCT temporal bone for acute/chronic otitis media & mastoiditis.

HRCT paranasal sinuses for sinusitis, masses, facial bone fractures polyposis, nasal bone fracture, etc.

CT orbits for orbital fractures, masses, foreign body, etc.

III. Orthopaedics:

Fracture detection and the extent of dislocation on multislice CT.

Evaluation before joint implants.

Spine imaging for fractures, spondylolisthesis, dislocations, spondylitis, etc.

3D reconstruction and Volume rendered (VR) images for exact anatomical visualization.

IV. Abdomen:

Liver - Abscess, cirrhosis, hydatid cysts, Triple-phase CT for masses (hepatocellular Ca, Cholangio Ca), and portal hypertension.

Urinary tract – CT urography for Kidney stone evaluation, hydroureter, hydronephrosis, perinephric abscess/urinoma, pyelonephritis, renal cyst evaluation, urinary bladder stones, ureteric strictures, cystitis, etc.

Pancreas - Acute & Chronic pancreatitis, G.I tract- Intestinal obstruction, infections like TB, pancreatic pseudocysts, strictures, mass, appendicitis, Inflammatory bowel disease, Colitis, etc.

Peritoneum - Mesenteric mass, lymph nodes, Abdominal TB, Retroperitoneal masses and cysts.

V. Angiography:

Cerebral angiography in stroke, infarcts, hemorrhage; to detect aneurysms and vasculitis

Thoracic and abdominal Aorta angiography for aneurysm, aortitis, dissection, atherosclerotic occlusion.

Renal angiography for renal artery stenosis, FMD, etc.

Pulmonary angiography for pulmonary thromboembolism, AVMs.

Carotid vessels angiography to look for plaques, stenosis/ occlusion.

Abdominal angiography for SMA, celiac axis, etc. to investigate hemoperitoneum or unexplained G.I bleed

Peripheral angiography of upper and lower limbs for the peripheral vascular disease to look for the site; the extent of disease and postoperative evaluation after stenting.

VI. CT Guided Interventions:

CT guided FNAC and biopsy of different lesions – sub millimetric accuracy of needle placement.

Percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN).

Aspiration and drainage of collections, abscess; body fluids.
