Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan

At all of our locations, we use the latest MRI machines. We use High Power MRI to ensure the strongest magnetic field and the most detailed image.
Our MRI scanner captures the signals as close to the body as possible, resulting in faster scans, better image quality, less noise, and more patient comfort.
Short scan time and more space inside the tunnel of scanner reduce patient's Claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces).

Clinical Applications:
I. Neurology

MRI is used in Neurology to diagnose various conditions such as Brain tumours and granulomas, Hemorrhagic and non-hemorrhagic strokes, Special epilepsy protocol and vertigo protocols.

II. Gynaecological Imaging

Breast MRI - For Lesion characterisation and localization

Pelvis – evaluation of ovarian cysts and malignant masses, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, congenital uterine anomalies, cervix and uterus carcinoma.

Fetal MRI

III. Musculoskeletal Imaging

Joints imaging – for evaluation of all the joints such as hip, elbow, hand, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, foot and S-I joint for various types of degenerative, traumatic and infective pathologies.

Spine high-resolution imaging for all types of backaches, trauma, numbness of legs, TB & other infections and tumours of vertebrae and spinal cord.

Infection – Tubercular & non-tubercular osteomyelitis of any joint or bone.

Soft tissue & Bone Tumours – For preoperative evaluation for the extent and neurovascular invasion, postoperative evaluation of recurrent disease and localization, characterization of masses (soft tissue, fatty or bone).

Tendinopathy, muscle cysticercosis, stress fractures, diabetic & neuropathic arthropathy, chest wall mass/sinus

IV. Abdominal Imaging

Liver – forevaluation of fatty liver, mass, and abscess in cirrhosis.

MRCP – for cholecystitis, CBD stones, gall stones, cholangitis, Cholangiocarcinoma, CBD strictures, etc.

Pancreas - pancreatic mass & cysts, acute & chronic pancreatitis annular pancreas and pancreas divisum.

Kidneys – Dynamic renal imaging for masses, diagnosis of pyelonephritis, MR urography, etc.

Peritoneum – Peritoneal & retroperitoneal masses/tumours, cysts, abscesses like Hydatid disease.

Prostate & Testes – for prostatitis, abscess, carcinoma prostate localization and staging, Testicular mass & infection.

MR Fistulography – Perianal sinus and fistula imaging for extent and size useful for preoperative planning and postoperative evaluation.

V. ENT

MRI neck - for lymph nodes, submandibular/ parotid swelling, oropharyngeal & nasopharyngeal masses, neck sinuses, infections & masses, Carotid body tumours, etc.

Orbits imaging – for thyroid ophthalmopathy, pseudotumor, intraocular masses like retinoblastoma, optic nerve evaluation, cysticercosis.

MRI PNS – for malignant masses characterization and extent of spread, various types of sinusitis including fungal sinusitis, sino-nasal polyposis.
